Christmas Stocking
It took me three months to make this stocking for my Little One! Despite the work I really love the finished product and I know that this will be a keepsake from her childhood that she will keep for the rest of her life. I used a Bucilla Stocking Kit to create this stocking. The kit included everything that you need except for scissors and stuffing.
Candy Cane Tree
I didn't actually create this tree but my Great Grandmother did! I grew up with one of these in my house and it was my favorite Christmas decoration! My mom would put small candy canes or Christmas lollipops into the loops. My mom gave one of my Great Grandmother's trees to me as a Christmas present after I had my daughter. Even though my Great Grandmother is no longer here it reminds me of her when I look at this project she created! I love being able to share this fun tradition with my own Little One!
Football Cake
I have made this football cake several times and it is always a big hit! It is super easy to make. All you need is a football shaped cake pan and a star icing tip!
Valentine's Day
This homemade valentine turned out really cute! It was the perfect way to tell my husband (who is in medical school) that I love him!
Menu Board
I love love love my menu board! I have all of my meals printed on cards and each week we draw several of the cards from an envelope (sometimes at random!). This makes grocery shopping much easier and when the meal cards have been used they move into a different envelope. This ensures that I don't keep making the same things over and over again! I also have two "something new" cards mixed in. When one of these cards is drawn then either my husband or I pick something new to try!
Playroom Display Frames
I created these display frames so that I could easily turn my Little One's art work into wall decoration. I really love how these turned out! I bought the frames from Micheal's and then I hot glued clothes pins (which I got from the dollar tree) onto them. I then used old paint that I had in my garage and created these colorful displays which work great in the playroom!
Halloween "Boo Berries"
These are so easy and fun to make! By adding a little dark chocolate you can make an already delicious desert into a spooky Halloween treat!
Halloween Pregnancy Announcement
My husband carved this pumpkin while we were pregnant with our daughter! He free-handed this design and I think it turned out great. I believe he was studying fetal development in medical school when he came up with this idea. Although we didn't use this as our official pregnancy announcement it would have been a lot of fun to make an announcement at Halloween using this picture!
Grey and White Stripped Wall
I used YouTube videos to help me figure out how to paint stripes on a textured wall. I am very happy with the look of my accent wall and I added a yellow mirror and an old desk that belonged to my great grandmother to create the perfect entry for our home!
Chalkboard Message Frame
I absolutely love chalkboards! This was a super easy project that my hubby surprised me with! He bought me the frame and the chalkboard paint, then he wrapped it up and gave it to me so that I could make my own chalkboard message frame. I have used this for everything from menus in the kitchen to super bowl party "who is Going to Win" polls to a cute drawing of Olaf to greet guests at my daughter's birthday party (that my grandmother drew because let's face it...I lack any real artistic talent!) All you do is paint the glass of a nice frame with chalkboard paint and 'viola' you have yourself a nifty message board!

Chalkboard Table
I made this chalkboard table with an $8 Ikea table! All you need to do is paint the table with a few coats of chalkboard paint to create one of your own! My Little One loves to draw on this table. The best part is that chalk is super easy to clean up! So when she gets chalk all over her hands, clothes, my furniture, and everything else in the room I can easily clean up the mess with a damp paper towel! Better yet I can have my 2 year old daughter wipe up the excess chalk!
Rainbow Potty Chart
I use this potty chart for my toddler! I created it so that I could fit any type of sticker onto the chart. After my daughter uses the potty she gets a sticker for her shirt and a sticker for her potty chart. She also get a single MnM candy for pee pee and three pieces for a stinky! So far she has been doing really great with this potty training strategy. She loves to show off her potty stickers to any guests that come over! Quality Time Jar
My hubby made me this quality time jar for Mother's Day this year! This was such a sweet idea. Whenever we have a bit of free time together we choose a "mini date" out of the jar! There is even a special category of activities so that we can include our daughter. Click on the title to read the full blog post.
